Get Android Honeycomb music app on your device now
Android may be gaining ground on iOS faster than you can say, "who ate the last mince pie?", but one aspect that we, and many other Android users aren't too keen on is its default music app.
Its basic approach is often cited as the reason that many Droiders use third party apps such as Winamp, Cubed or Meridian.
But this sneak peak of Honeycomb's (Android 2.4 or 3.0, TBC) gives us hope that the chaps at Mountain View are aware that the default Android music player has its shortcomings.
The new app, which you can actually try for yourself now thanks to an APK leaked by johnnieares93 and being hosted by the guys at Android Police.
The slick new UI certainly looks impressive, especially the swanky landscape mode, and there are suggestions that the app will bring with it wireless syncing.
The app is said to be very buggy at the moment, but you may want to give it a quick spin to try out some of the new features.
If you're sporting an Android device and you want to test the app out, download the APK file, stick it on your SD card and install it.
