Asus Eee Pad MeMo, Eee Slate EP121, Eee Pad Transformer and Eee Pad Slider tablets debut

Asus has used its CES press conference in Las Vegas to launch two new tablet devices for Android and Windows 7 fans alike.

Taking on the Samsung Galaxy Tab the Asus Eee Pad MeMo will be a 7-inch Qualcomm snapdragon chipset powered tablet.

Running Android (we presume version 2.2) the new tablet will offer 1080p playback and offer support for a stylus.

It will come with dual cameras for video calling, and feature a MeMIC media phone extender.

The The Eee Slate EP121 on the other hand will be a Windows 7 Home Premium powered device with an 12.1-inch 1280x800 display. It will be powered by an Intel Core i5-470UM processor and come with 64GB of SSD storage and 4GB of system memory.

The company has also launched the Eee Pad Transformer. It will sport a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 touchscreen display that can be connected to a keyboard instantly turning it into a laptop.

Specs include a dual cameras (1.2MP and 5MP), wireless n, USB, Bluetooth and built-in card reader. It will come with 1080p playback, supporting Adobe Flash 10.1 and be powered by an Android-savvy Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor.?

If that wasn’t enough, Asus has launched the Eee Pad Slider, a tablet with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard similar to the HTC Shift from some years ago.

The new Eee Pad Slider weighs 886 grams, is 16.7mm thick and comes with Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor, come with Android Honeycomb and offer the same two camera setup, wireless n connectivity and Adobe Flash 10.1 support as the Transformer.?

The new models will be released across the next six months kicking off with the launch of the Eee Slate in January, the Eee Pad Transformer in April, the Eee Pad Slider in May and the Eee Pad MeMo in June.

Prices will be $999 - $1099, $399 - $699, $499 - $799, and $499 - $699 respectively.?
