OMG! It's the OMG-1 iPod iPad synthesiser

What do you get if you combine an Apple Mac mini, two iPads, two iPod touches, a Moog Little Phatty analogue synthesiser, Spectrasonics’ flagship Omnisphere software synthesiser and Spectrasonics’ new Omni TR iPad app, and pack it all into a suave looking Maple cabinet?

Why, the OMG-1 of course.

Designed by Eric Persing as a live performance instrument, you won't be able to pick one up in the shops - this is a one-off and will be auctioned off to raise money for the Bob Moog Foundation.

The OMG-1 was shown off at the NAMM musical instrument tradeshow in California where Michelle Moog-Koussa, the executive director of the Bob Moog Foundation, told Synthtopia:

"Eric's OMG-1 represents the contemporary convergence of analogue and digital, hardware and software. I think Bob would applaud Eric's efforts to transcend boundaries in order to create an instrument with new and unique capabilities".

The Bob Moog Memorial Foundation was founded after the death of Robert Moog in 2005. His family established the foundation, dedicated to the advancement of electronic music in his memory.
