Expect a long wait for iPad 2 online orders

In Australia and New Zealand, it's already 25 March. And you know what that means? It's already iPad 2 day.

So, with the clocks ticking past 1am in the land down under, how's the online ordering process moving along?

Well, it's not really - unless you count a 2-3 week wait as "moving along".

Despite only a couple of hours passing since the iPad 2 went on sale, that's the delay that Apple is declaring.

Remember, in the US, there was a 4-5 week delay just 4 days after the iPad 2 went on sale - although this has now decreased to 3-4 weeks.

It's not clear what the stock levels for the UK are, or whether we'd have a better online chance than our antipodean cousins.

Pocket-lint will be online at 1am UK time, trying to get its paws on a retail version of the tablet sequel, so stay tuned to see how we get on.
