Due to land this year
It's all terribly exciting, as Nokia has announced which European countries will be the first to get its new Windows Phone 7-flavoured handsets.
It's been reported from the 2011 Mobile Telecompaper conference, in which Victor Saeijs, vice president, Nokia Europe announced that France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK and the Netherlands will all be first in the queue come launch.
Having had trouble in developing its own mobile operating system with the smartphone format it seems that Nokia's future hopes lie with its team up with Microsoft and its Windows Phone 7 OS.
Victor Saeijs confirmed that the launch of the new devices would come later in 2011, a move which is hoped will turn around the current troubles of the Finnish mobile phone company.
